Chandel, July 12 2025: To commemorate World Population Day, Assam Rifles organised a series of community-focused events designed to raise awareness about family planning, population issues and the path towards sustainable development in Chandel district.

Engaging sessions were held in Sehlon and Phoilen, where speakers highlighted the vital importance of family planning, population control and healthy lifestyles.

The spirit of the occasion was further amplified by vibrant awareness rallies held in New Samtal, Old Samtal, Kovang, Sehlon and Aibol Joupi, according to a press release issued by IGAR (S).

Local dignitaries joined the marches which underscored the role of responsible family planning in building a stronger nation and a brighter tomorrow.

Poster campaigns brought the message to the heart of each village, sparking conversations and encouraging reflection among community members.
