RIMC students, alumni felicitated

A felicitation ceremony was held to welcome students of Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun including two who cleared the NDA exam at Khangabok Mayai Leikai Community Hall today.
The ceremony was organised by Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun Parents Association Manipur in the presence of O Surjakumar, MLA, Khangabok AC; Kh Rajmohon, former member, Khangabok Zilla Parishad and M Modhusudon, general secretary, Manipur Kho Kho Association as the chief guest, functional president and guest of honour respectively.
During the event, simple gifts were presented to RIMC alumni Khundrakpam Thanil and Kelvin Oinam who cleared the NDA exam and joined the Indian Military Service as a Lieutenant.
Bom to Khundrakpam Imo, Thanil hails from Khangabok Mayai Leikai; while Kevin is the son of Oinam Ibomcha from Oinam Khunou, Bishnupur.
Additionally, gifts were presented to students from Manipur currently studying at RIMC.
Speaking as the chief guest, MLA Okram Surjakumar said that RIMC is a prestigious institution known for its rigorous academic program and emphasis on discipline and physical fitness.
He termed it a matter of pride that State alumni of the College have gone on to clear NDA and join the Indian Military Service.
Additionally, he shared that two girls from Lamding and Khagabok under Khangabok AC recently cleared the entrance test for RIMC.
The duo were amongst five total girls selected in the entire country, said the MLA.
Lauding the felicitation program, he called for more participation of school students in such events to motivate and inspire them.
The event was graced by many RIMC alumni who went on to join the Indian Military Service and serve in various ranks (Colonel, Major, Captain etc) as well as their parents.
