Graduation ceremony for passed-out MBBS students held

Graduation ceremony for passed-out MBBS students of the state government run Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Sciences (JNIMS) for the year 2018 -19 was held on Saturday.
'The graduation ceremony titled 'Class of 2018-19' organised by the Organising Committee Graduation Cer emony and JNIMS Students' Association (JSA) held at the main auditorium of JNIMS was attended by Manipur University vice chancellor professor N Lokendra as chief guest.
JNIMS director professor L Deben as president and JNIMS Dental college principal professor ND Hegde, JNIMS medical superintendent Dr Kh Lokeswar and JNIMS dean (academic) Dr L Supriya as guests of honour.
As chief guest at the event, professor Lokendra said those already in medical profession and joined the profession newly should render their services.to the people particularly the patients sincerely.
The JNIMS has so far produced 800 MBBS graduates, 181BDS and around 200 professional doctors and this remarkable achievement indeed is laudable and the state should be proud for this, he said adding that the institute also conducts seminar and workshop from time to time.
In his speech at the event, JNIMS director L Deben said passed out MBBS students taking part the graduation ceremony have lived together as a family at the institute for sometimes and whatever faculties of the institute shouted during the time were for success of the students.
He also appealed passed out students to utilise knowledge gained from the institute to become successful medical practitioners and then establish good relation with patients and their family members by following medical ethics judiciously.
