Imphal, July 28 2013:
All Manipur MBBS/BDS 2013 Entrance Examination Parents/Guardians' Association will file contempt of court proceedings against the authorities of State Health Department if they go on to select Government nominees for MBBS/BDS courses based on NEET-2013 by violating the ruling of Supreme Court.
A release of the Association said that the clause "actions taken so far including admissions already given" mentioned in the Supreme Court's ruling is self explanatory.
There is no room in the order for future admissions and admissions yet to be given on the basis of NEET, and so counselling or any other selection processes related to NEET cannot be conducted.
All actions on the basis of NEET after July 18 will violate the Supreme Court's order, it noted.
The Association further stated that the sudden cancellation of State Pre-Medical Test (PMT) by a decision of the State Cabinet has shattered the dreams of thousands of medical aspirants in the State.
The Supreme Court's order stands clear in all aspects.
The authorities concerned should make necessary arrangement to conduct the State PMT as soon as possible.
The selection process of Government nominees from among the NEET qualified candidates could not be completed before July 18 and so any further action with respect to NEET would be against the ruling of Supreme Court, it added.
