Grade-IV and cooks were found teaching students in two government schools in Senapati district alleged Manipuri Students Federation informing that volunteers of the special investigation team of the body found it.
Volunteers of the MSF today conducted inspection to the Kalapahar Government Junior High School and Tumnoupokpi Junior High School found the grade-IV and cooks taking class.
The team reached the two schools as a part of students body to look into the teaching system of government schools in the state.
The body has been inspecting to the government schools as there were various schools teaching students by private teachers by the government teachers.
At Tumnoupokpi Junior High School, hired teachers found teaching students, they alleged.
Government teachers who hired private teachers to replace them were Nandakishor, M Elizabeth, L Gulapi and Ch Kritichand.
Apart from this, to meet the shortage teachers, one grade-IV employee by the name N Ranjan was found taking class.
During the visit at the Kalapahar Government Junior High School, out of 11 teachers posting there four were found replaced by hired teachers.
Those teachers who did not attend school and keeping hired teacher in place of them were Linthoingambi, Memchoubi, Tingoining and Hetjaning.
As expressed by headmasters of the schools MSF has distributed text books in their schools but materials for the mid day meal scheme is yet to get from January this year.
Spokesperson, Anas Shah of the investigation team told reporters that they are not satisfied with the teachers hiring their replacement and it will give hurdle in bringing quality education in the state as how far the hired teachers qualified could not known.
He also appealed the teachers not to indulge in such activities and also to look into whether teachers are attending schools in their posting places.
With regard to the non-supply of the mid day meal materials on time, he asked are the authorities thinking to feed the children once at a time.
