Will ensure three LS seats: Timothy Zimik

Terming as irrational the system wherein people of eight (8) assembly constituencies in the valley districts including 4 in Kakching AC are not allowed to contest the Lok Sabha elections other than casting votes due to the said constituencies included in the Outer Manipur ST Parliamentary Constituency, NPF candidate Kachui Timothy Zimik, assured to ensure that the Lok Sabha seats of Manipur is increased to three during the 2026 delimitation process if elected as MP.
Timothy Zimik, who is the common candidate of NDA, was speaking during his election campaign held at the Kakching Makha Lou residence of Kakching MLA M Rameshwar, on Sunday.
The function organised by National People's Party (NPP) Kakching Unit was attended by MLA Rameshwar, Phungyar MLA Leishiyo Keishirig, NPP Kakching president Shougaijam Shyamjai, Senior Citizens' Forum Kakching president and ex-minister Nongmaithem Nimai among others.
Timothy Zimik noted that the people are longing for peace and development in the strife tom state.
Therefore, if elected as MP, he would make sure that all measures are taken up to restore peace in the state and development projects expedited.
Small states like Manipur and Nagaland often take help from the government of India as there is not enough resources.
In addition to increasing the resources of the state, we also need to take our rightful share from the government of India, he said, adding that haying worked in the Indian Revenue Service since 1985 in different parts of India, he has enough knowledge of the wealth and income of the country.
Therefore, he would urge the central government to provide the rightful funds to the state, maintained the candidate.
Expressing confidence that the NDA government will return to power, he said that, if elected, he would ensure that funds flow in ceaselessly from the centre for taking up development works in Manipur.
MLA Rameshwar also reiterated that the NDA government will return to power in the centre.
So if Timothy Zirnik, the candidate of NPF which is an ally of the NDA, is elected, Kakching will definitely see many development works taken up.
