Thoubal, July 12 2025: Students and teachers of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Umathel in Kakching planted tree saplings in the vicinity of the school as a part of the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0" campaign today.

The initiative was carried out under the guidance of Thoubal Forest Division.

Others who participated in the tree plantation drive include guardians of JNV Umathel students, PTC members and staff of Wangoo Forest Beat Office and Waikhong Forest Beat Office.

In this connection, a teacher from JNV Umathel said that today's initiative marks the 2nd instalment of tree plantation held in connection with the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0" which is being held across the country and will conclude on September 30 .
