Muslim orgs stage sit-in protests on ILPS

Imphal, July 21 2015 :
Manipur Muslim Welfare organisation and Manipur Minority Muslim Development committee organised a sit � in protests demanding proper implementation of inner line permit system in the State in front of public hospital and research institute.
Abdulah Pathan president of Manipur Muslim Welfare organisation recalling the joint effort of the indigenous people of the State at the time of Anglo Manipur War said that the Muslim community of the State will support the movement of JCILPS in the demand for inner line permit system for safeguarding indigenous population of the State.

He also said that since the fasting month of Ramzan is over the Muslim community will take a major role in the demand for proper implementation of ILPS in the State.
The organisations also show solidarity to the bereaved family and demanded befitting punishment for police personnel involved in the killing of Sapam Robinhood.
Meanwhile locals of Leirikyengbam Leikai and Laipham Khunou blocked the road by laying timbers on the road.
Khurai Chaithabi Apunba Meira Paibi, Khurai Konjeng Leikai and Khurai Konsam Leikai locals formed human chain and voiced for implementation of Inner Line Permit.
