Dy Speaker inspects venue of TNB Convention

Deputy Speaker MK Preshow today inspected the venue where Tangkhul Naga Baptist Convention held after every four years is to be hosted at Nongdam Tangkhul village, Ukhrul district from February 20-24 .
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the inspection visit, MK Preshow informed that the convention is to be attended by around 10, 000 villagers from 150 Naga Tangkhul villages.
The convention will be inaugurated by the Governor and the Chief Minister of the State.
So, the inspection has been carried out to check the work progress, accommodation facilities and security arrangement as many VIPs including Deputy Chief Minister, Rajya Sabha MP Rishang Keishing, Ministers and MLAs would also be taking part in it.

Apart from the construction of the venue hall which would accommodate around 10, 000 people, the Deputy Speaker also inspected the repairing works of the roads and bridges leading to the convention venue and he expressed satisfaction over the overall work progress.
The Deputy Speaker went on to say that the convention is to be organized with an aim to instill a sense of co-operation, development and unity amongst the different communities living in Manipur.
In between the visit, the Deputy Speaker who was accompanied by Parliamentary Secretary Victor Keishing and MLA of Saikul A/C Yamthong Haokip also inaugurated an office of Nongdam Tangkhul Baptist Church.
