Imphal, June 14 2025:
Raising suspicions over the death of T Molianboy who allegedly drown after falling into a pond in the campus of Adimjati Boys' Hostel in Chingmeirong; Molianboy's mother, Lanu Sinnu Aimol has said that she would not claim her son's dead body until the truth is revealed.
In a press meet held at Manipur Press Club here on Saturday, Lanu Sinnu Aimol, a native of Langol village in Tengnoupal district, said that her son T Molianboy (18) was studying BBA at DMU and had been staying at Adimjati Boys' Hostel in Chingmeirong.
She recounted that on June 12 at around 8.30 pm, she was informed that her son had fallen into a pond in the Hostel campus and drowned: After receiving the information, she went to the hospital and found her son's dead body at City Hospital in Chingmeirong.
Stating that the Hostel warden did not inform her of her son's death, Lanu said that the Hostel normally closes at 6 pm but did not close at that time on the fateful day.
While two of Molianboy's boy friends were bathing in the pond, he and another boy were sitting on the bank.
The claim that her son fell into the pond after all three left the area is highly suspicious, she contended.
Informing that a complaint has been filed at Imphal PS, she said that the dead body is being kept at RIMS morgue for post mortem examination.
However, she stated that she would not claim her sbn's body until the truth behind the incident is revealed.
