Thoubal, July 12 2025: With the two-month deadline to address their grievances approaching, the Thoubal District VDF Welfare Association (TDVDFWA) has urged the Governor-in-Council to convene a meeting to resolve this issue and fulfil their demands.

A press release issued by L Nabadip Meitei, publicity secretary, Thoubal District VDF Welfare Association (TDVDFWA) expressed hope that the Government will fulfil the demands of the VDFs, which include full implementation of the terms and conditions of section 18 of the Police Act, 1861, service regularisation and increased honorariums among others, in a timely manner.

If the State Government fails to fulfil their demands within the stipulated period in contravention of the assurances given to the VDFs, all VDF personnel from Thoubal district have resolved to support the democratic protests launched by the Central Committee of All Manipur VDF Employees' Welfare Association along with thousands of other VDFs.
