Imphal, February 11 2025: In view of recent political developments, the Kom Union Manipur (KUM) has urged all concerned political and public leaders to exercise restraint, maintain calm and uphold the status quo for peace.

In a press note issued by S Ahao Kom, president, KUM, the Union urged all stakeholders to channel their efforts toward addressing the ongoing crisis with sincerity and urgency rather than engaging in political manoeuvring.

The need of the hour is unity, dialogue and a concerted approach to bring lasting peace and stability to Manipur, it maintained.

It expressed belief that a collective and responsible leadership can pave the way for reconciliation and harmony.

KUM urged for the prioritizaton of people's well-being over political ambitions and working together to resolve the pressing issues that threaten the fabric of society.
