'Stay away from Modi and his election rally'

Imphal, February 01 2014 : Reaffirming the stance of some Muslim organizations to boycott Narendra Modi during his election campaign in the State on February 8, Jamitual Ulema, Yairipok told the Muslim people to stay away from the BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate.

Talking to media persons at Jamitual Ulema, Yairipok office today, Executive Member of Jamitual Ulema Maulana Yusub Ahmed said that Narendra Modi is an anti-social leader.

He may be targeted by any person.

If some bomb blast occurs at his meeting venue in the State, the Muslims would surely be blamed.

In order to avoid unnecessary harassment by security personnel, the Muslim brothers and sisters should better stay away from Narendra Modi.

Modi cannot be cleared of his guilt in Gujarat riots even though he has been given clean chit by the court for lack of evidence.

Many Muslim people were killed and tortured during the riots.

President of BJP Manipur Pradesh Th Chaoba is simply endorsing Narendra Modi for his political gains.

His reference to the organizations calling Modi's boycott as some people from Assam is an insult to the Muslim community of the State.

All Muslim leaders should condemn such insulting remarks, he added.

General Secretary of Jamitual Ulema Abdul Hamed also accused Narendra Modi of inciting the Gujarat riots and called him as "human enemy" .

General Secretary of All Manipur Muslim Students' OrganizationAmir Khan said that the students' body would also endorse the boycott call to protest Narendra Modi's anti-Muslim activities.

On Thursday, Jamiatul Ulema Manipur (Arshad Madani) and Muslim Social Workers' Union, Manipur with Janab Moulana Moinuddin Quasmi, Moulana Heshamuddin and Janab Abdul Qaiyum, had resolved to boycott the visit of Narendra Modi to Imphal, for his alleged anti-minority activities, especially in 2002 Gujarat riots where thousands of people belonging to minority were allowed to be massacred and tortured without any protection from the side of Government machineries.
