Imphal, September 21 2024: With the detection of some probable cases of Dengue among the staff of Public Works Department, Manipur, a fogging exercise was carried out today at PWD Complex in Khuyathong, Imphal.

The fogging exercise was jointly organised by the Additional Chief Engineer-II of PWD, Manipur in collaboration with the State Malaria Officer, National Vector Borne Diseases Control Programme (NVBDCP), Government of Manipur.

Notably, the Additional Chief Engineer-II of PWD, Manipur had sought the assistance of the State Malaria Officer to prevent the spread of Dengue in the PWD Complex.

The Additional Chief Engineer-II also highlighted the possible risk of the spread of Dengue through mosquitoes due to the presence of stagnant water and marshy area inside the PWD Complex.
