Assam Rifles conducts medical camp at Lamlong Khunou

Tengnoupal, July 20 2026: Assam Rifles organised a free medical camp at Lamlong Khunou in Tengnoupal district on July 19 to provide healthcare services to residents of the remote border village.

According to a statement issued by IGAR (South), the camp offered free medical consultation, treatment, preventive healthcare awareness and essential medicines, ensuring access to quality healthcare at the villagers' doorstep.

A total of 126 people, including 41 men and 85 women, availed the services during the camp.

The Medical Officer and the medical team conducted comprehensive health checkups and treated patients suffering from common ailments such as seasonal illnesses, respiratory infections, hypertension and gastrointestinal disorders.

Besides clinical consultations, free medicines were distributed to all beneficiaries.

The medical team also educated residents on preventive healthcare, personal hygiene, balanced nutrition and healthy lifestyle practices, encouraging early diagnosis and better health management.

Local residents expressed gratitude to Assam Rifles for organising the camp in the remote area.

The initiative reflects the force's continued efforts to address the healthcare needs of border communities while promoting disease prevention and health awareness.
