Moirang bodies condemn Tronglaobi attack, extend aid to bereaved family

Moirang, April 09 2026:
The Friendship Organisation, Moirang has strongly condemned the recent bomb attack at Tronglaobi in Bishnupur district that claimed the lives of a toddler and a five-year-old boy and left their mother seriously injured, while extending condolences and support to the bereaved family.
In a humanitarian gesture, a team of the organisation led by its president M Noren Singh and secretary H Deben visited the affected family and provided essential items including sugar, milk, drinking water, disposable glasses and tea leaves.
Condemning the incident as inhumane, the organisation demanded that those responsible for the attack be identified and awarded the strictest punishment under the law.
It also expressed grief over the deaths of three individuals who were reportedly killed during protests in the aftermath of the incident.
The organisation further criticised the alleged role of Central Reserve Potice Force (CRPF) personnel, stating that those found responsible for the firing must also face appropriate action.
Meanwhile, the Senior Citizens' Forum, Thanga, has also strongly denounced the attack and the subsequent developments.
In a statement, the forum condemned the kilting of two children and the injury to their mother, as well as the deaths of three civilians during protests.
The forum demanded that all those involved in the incidents be identified and given the strictest punishment as per the law.
