Bereaved families receive ex-gratia

Bishnupur, May 04 2024:
The bereaved families of four victims, who were killed by Kuki militants on January 10 while collect ing firewood at Meichakpi hill of Wangoo Maning Sabal, expressed their gratitude to the authorities concerned for providing the ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh and housing assistance of Rs 2.5 lakh each.
The family extended their gratitude to the authorities concerned including CM N Biren and Kumbi MLA, during a meet which was or ganised by the bereaved families and the JAC concerned at the residence of late Oinam Romen at Wangoo Terakhong Akasoi under Kumbi constituency.
During the meet, wife of fate Oinam Romen, Oinam ongbi Pramodini appealed to the authorities to stop the unabated attacks by the Kuki militants to the Meetei villagers at the peripheral regions and resolve the conflict immediately.

Khangembam Krishnago-pal extended'appreciation to CM N Biren for fulfilling his promise to provide ex-gratia and housing assistance to the bereaved family.
He also urged the authorities concerned to fulfil the CM's promise to provide suitable jobs to the members of the bereaved families.
