Radha Madhava Adarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya (RMASM), Nambol, has successfully conducted a 10-day national workshop on "Jyotish (Golparibhasa)" from May 22 to 31, 2025 .
As per a release issued by RMASM, the workshop was organised under the academic development programme of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).
The workshop aimed to promote traditional Indian astronomical knowledge through intensive orientation sessions and hands-on training.
Dr Nimadhab Dash, a distinguished scholar from Central Sanskrit University, Shri Sadashiv Campus, Puri, attended the workshop as a resource person.
Dr Nimadhab Dash's insightful lectures delved deep into the theoretical and practical aspects of Golparibhasa, a critical branch of classical Indian Jyotish, making the sessions both informative and inspiring for the participants.
The inaugural and valedictory functions were held in the presence of the college's academic leadership, faculty and students.
The event witnessed active participation from both current and former Jyotish students, as well as interested scholars from other institutions in India.
