Imphal, December 26 2024: Committee on Tribal Unity (CoTU), Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO) and Senapati Action Committee (SAC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Naga People's Organisation (NPO) conference hall, resolving that CoTU shall tender apology to Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA) within 24 hours.

The MoU signed to promote peace, mutual respect, security, and cooperation, recognised the importance of ensuring safety, dignity, and well-being of all citizens, particularly in addressing issues related to harassment, physical assault and intimidation.

It emphasised that the KSO press release must be retracted while failure would lead to resumption of agitation at any time.

The pact also called for immediate cessation of all forms of harassment and physical violence against the Naga community, with full accountability for those responsible and action against any individuals involved in harassment or other untoward incidents against the Naga community, it added.

The MoU also resolved for fostering respectful communication, particularly towards Naga commuters and community members, across all platforms including public spaces, social media and community forums.
