'State Level Thang-Ta Changdamnaba' begins

The 2nd State Level Thang-Ta Changdamnaba began today at Sangeet Kala Sangam, Khurai Lamlong Keithel.
The two-day competition is organised by E-Pao Tengbang Lup, Manipur in collaboration with Kanglei Indigenous Martial Arts and Cultural Society (KIMACS).
The inaugural function was graced by Angom Ningthou Angom Poreiton, E-Pao Tengbang Lup convenor Dr Th Sunil Dev Singh and KIMCAS secretary RK Leninsana as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Angom Ningthou Angom Poreiton lauded E-Pao Tengbang Lup Manipur and KIMACS for organising the competition to promote the indigenous martial art form of Manipur.
Elaborating on the multiple benefits of practicing Thang-Ta regularly, he maintained that practicing Thang-Ta not only leads to a healthy lifestyle but also helps in instilling discipline.
He also stressed on the need for collective effort to preserve & promote Thang-Ta, the indigenous art form which holds great significance to the history and culture of the State.
