Home postal ballot voting commences for Imphal West

Imphal, April 14 2024:
The voting through postal ballot paper for Absentee Voters for Imphal West district commenced today in connection with the 18th Lok Sabha Elections, 2024 .
This initiative facilitates voting rights to Senior Citizen for 85 years and above (AVSC) and Persons with Disabilities with at-least 40% disability (AVPD) at their respective houses.
The 1st round of house-to-house visits for Absentee Voters, which began today, will continue till April 15, 2024 from 9 am to 5 pm daily.
A total of 1,997 eligible Absentee Voters has been identified by the District Election Officer, Imphal West from thirteen Assembly Constituencies.
41 separate polling teams, each comprising of two Polling Officials, one Videographer, one Micro-Observer and two police personnel have been appointed for house-to-house visit to all the eligible Absentee Voters for issue and receipt of Postal Ballot.
The 2nd Round of house-to-house visit is scheduled on April 16 from 9 am to 5 pm .
