Governor, AMGSU greet on Cheiraoba, Gorkha New Year

Imphal, April 13 2025: Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of Manipur on the joyous occasion of Cheiraoba 2025 .

In his message, the Governor highlighted that Cheiraoba is a time of renewal and celebration, marks the transition from the old to the new, symbolising fresh beginnings, hope, and progress.

As families come together to prepare special meals and offer prayers, the festival fosters unity and a sense of gratitude, he said.

"On this auspicious occasion, let us reaffirm our commitment to peace, prosperity, and harmony in our communities.

May the coming year bring happiness, success, and well-being to every household in Manipur," he wished.

All Manipur Gorkha Students' Union (AMGSU) also extended warm greetings and best wishes to everyone on the occasion of Gorkha/Nepali New Year 2082 and Cheiraoba, the biggest festival of Manipur.

"May this year be filled with enthusiasm, joy, and harmony for everyone.

May negativity and evil not touch anyone.

May everyone's dreams and aspirations be fulfilled," said AMGSU president LB Adhikari in a release, expressing hope the New Year and Cheiraoba bring new energy, enthusiasm, happiness, progress, and dimensions to everyone's life.
