Imphal, July 12 2025: MLA Thongam Biswajit interacted with youths during a one day conclave for youth empowerment at East Garden, Kongba, Imphal East today.

The conclave on the topic - "To bring peace and restoration through youth empowerment in the region"-was organised by "Punsillasi Eikhoi", a group formed by like-mended youths of Thongju Assembly Constituency.

Interacting with the participants of the programme, MLA Th Biswajit said the youths should play important roles in bringing peace and restoring normalcy in Manipur.

A society will become stronger when its youths are empowered.

Youths should take active part in the political sphere.

They must choose the right people to represent the people and society, Biswajit said.

K Dhiraj, a representative of the "Punsillasi Eikhoi" said the group was formed with the aim to empower youths and help them become a part of the process to develop Thongju Assembly Constituency.

The group strives to bring about development and help Thongju become a strong and developed Constituency, he said, urging the MLA to lead the youths in their growth.

Laishram Mani Memorial School Kongba Vice Principal Mutum Kunjakishwar Singh and St George High School Wangkhei's senior Assistant teacher Laikhuram Budhibanta Singh attended the interaction programme.
