Thoubal, January 07 2025: As part of 100-days Intensified Campaign on Tuberculosis (TB) under National TB Elimination Programme, a TB screening and awareness programme on TB was held today at Yairipok Kekru, Thoubal district.

The screening and awareness programme on TB was organised by NTEP, DTC, DHS Thoubal under the initiatives of National Health Mission and National TB Eliminating Programme (NTEP).

Around 80 people were tested during the screening test.

Later an awareness programme on Tuberculosis (TB) was also held.

During the programme, Dr Anish Begum, gynecologist, PHC Khoirom and CHC Yairipok, Senior Treatment Supervisor, L Asharani spoke as resource persons.

The event was also attended by Yairipok Municipal Council, Caretaker Councillor, Konjengbam Ito, Senior Treatment Supervisor, Ksh Bijiya, TB Health visitor, W Roji, along with staff of Health & Wellness, Kekru and ASHA workers.
