Imphal, October 19 2024: The birth centenary celebration of Rajkumar Chandrajitsana Singh, popularly known as RKCS was held today at RKCS Art Gallery, Keishamthong, Imphal.

The event jointly organised by the RKCS Birth Centenary Celebration Committee and Manipuri Sahitya Parishad Tripura was graced by Manipuri Sahitya Parishad Tripura president, L Birmangal Singha; Sahitya Akademi Awardee, Saratehand Thiyam and Arts Society Manipur president, Th Debendra Singh as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, RBCCC secretary RK Budhimanta fondly recollected the qualities of the late artist who set a very high standard in the field of fine arts in the State.

He asserted that the RKCS Art Gallery exhibiting the original paintings/artworks of RKCS has become a tourist destination for art lovers from across the globe.

He also shared that preparations have been made to organise various activities such as poem recitation competition, tree plantation, art exhibition and painting competition for children as part of the year-long birth centenary celebration.
