3-day workshop on "Remote Sensing for Climate Resilience" begins at Pole Star College

A three-day workshop on "Remote Sensing for Climate Resilience: Bridging Science and Society" commenced today at Pole Star College, Hiyanglam Wabagai.
The workshop is being jointly organised by the Department of Environmental Science, Geography and Anthropology and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Pole Star College, in collaboration with the Manipur Remote Sensing Application Centre of the Planning Department, Government of Manipur, and the Department of Environmental and Climate Change, Government of Manipur.
The inaugural programme was attended by former vice-chancellor of DM University Professor Rajmuhon Singh as chief guest; Pole Star College principal Dr E Gopal Singh as functional president and Manipur Remote Sensing Application Centre, Director Oinam Nodiachand as guest of honour.
During the three-day workshop programme, several experts, including resource persons from outside the State, will conduct various technical sessions focusing on the application of remote sensing technologies in addressing climate change and enhancing community resilience.
