Chandel, May 31 2025: A one-day awareness cum voluntary blood donation camp was organised at District Hospital, Chandel today in connection with observance of International Mother's Day 2025 .

The camp was organised by the Association of Voluntary Blood Donors Manipur (Chandel and Thoubal branch) in collaboration with Wisecrabs, Daampi Church LNBA, Department of Transfusion Medicine, RIMS, Imphal and supported by Manipur AIDS Society among others.

The camp was attended by 120 people including donors from Challong, Daampi, Mantri Pantha, Komsem, Kanankhu and nearby villages.

In this connection, the awareness programme was moderated by Ts Newry, executive, Wisecrabs with the attendance of many notable dignitaries including Dr Serbum Shakchung Moyon, MS District Hospital, Chandel; Nabakumar Tc (Secretary, AVBD-M Thoubal and M Priyokumar Singh.

Ts Mhanthung, president, Wisecrabs welcomed and congratulated the guests and donors in his keynote address, while Dilbung Shenong, secretary, AVDB-M, Chandel branch, expressed gratitude and promised to organise such camps on a regular basis.
