7th phase GTV camps held at different locations

The 7th phase of the "Khungang Chatse Go to Village"- Mission was held at Bashikhong Shinshuba Shanglen covering Bashikhong, Kitna Panung and Wangkhei Laumanbi villages under Bashikhong Gram Panchayat today.
Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Thongam Biswajit Singh, who is also the local MLA, visited the camp and inspected the stalls set up by the different Government Departments.
Altogether 22 departments including Central Bank of India and Bashikhong Indane Gramin Vitrak had set up stalls during the camp.
Departments that set up stalls include RD & PR Revenue, Labour, Agriculture, Power, Health, Handloom and Textile, Education, Social Welfare, Vety & Animal Husbandry among others.
While services provided during the camp include Chief Minister gi Haksel gi Tengbang, Weavers' Id-Card, Old-age pension scheme, Widow pension scheme, free health camp including immunisation, vaccination of animals, issuance of Birth Certificate, income certificate, domicile certificate, labour card, SAUBHAGYA, etc.
More than thousand beneficiaries thronged the camp and availed the free services.
The Minister's inspection was accompanied by Gram Panchayat Members, other local representatives and officials of the District Administration.
He interacted with the officials attending the stalls.
The Minister also interacted with the public and heard their grievances.
He said that the Mission will ensure that the Government schemes reach the intended beneficiaries.
Biswajit also distributed LPG gas connections to beneficiaries selected from the Gram Panchayat under the UJJWALA Scheme as part of the camp.
On the other hand, a public gathering was held at Yumnam Huidrom Mamang under Wangoi AC, Imphal West District.
Organised by district administration, Imphal West, a total of 28 officials from different Government Departments sensitised the people on the available welfare schemes and projects of the Govt.Speaking at the gathering, MLA Oinam Lukhoi stated that the Khungang Chatse mission has enabled the public to be aware of the schemes launched by Central and State Governments and get the schemes at their doorsteps as well.
The mission has made administration easier and has definitely relieved the pain to wait in line to acquire a document or to avail a scheme.
O Lukhoi distributed free gas connection to 105 beneficiaries under Ujjwala Yojana and inspected the stalls set up at the camp.
Meanwhile, Kakching district administration organised Go to Village camp at Thongjao Community Hall under Hiyanglam AC today.
MLA Hiyanglam AC as well as MANIDCO & MANITRON Chairman Dr Y Radheshyam, Kakching Zilla Parishad Member Ch Indrajit, Waikhom Gram Panchayat Pradhan Waikhom Brojen, Arong Nongmaikhong Gram Panchayat Pradhan Ningthoujam Ayingbi and Deputy Commissioner Kakching Neilenthang Telien attended the camp as dignitaries.
Speaking at the event as chief guest, Dr Y Radheshyam stated that many great and new changes-have been witnessed under the BJP Government.
The Government has taken up many noble initiatives and has launched several welfare schemes for the people including the 'Go to Hills' and 'Go to Village' missions.
Officials of the departments concerned have been able to deliver different services at the doorsteps of the targeted beneficiaries at hills and village, under Khungang Chatse mission.
The MLA urged the people gathered at the camp to avail the opportunities and sought cooperation and support to make the mission successful and to strengthen the governance.
