Candidates warn of stir over pending result

Imphal, July 28 2024: Denouncing the failure of the Government to declare the result of recruitment exam of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) conducted by the Directorate of Education (S), Government of Manipur, in 2016-2018, a sit-in protest was staged today at Keishampat Leimajam Leikai Community Hall, Imphal.

The sit-in was organised by the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Education (S) MTS Written Test Completed 2016 & 2018 Batch.

At the sit-in, the protestors lamented that the written test for recruitment of 413 Multi-Tasking Staff posts in the department was conducted over six years ago but the Government is yet to declare the results till date.

Pointing out that many candidates have crossed the upper age limit and are not in a position to apply for other posts, they urged the Government to make special arrangements for these candidates.

They further cautioned that the JAC will launch a series of intense agitation if the Government does not announce a specific date during the upcoming Session of the Manipur Legislative Assembly.
