Appreciating his tireless efforts and immense contribution, TSA Sadar Hills President Paominlun Lhouvum said that a good journalist like Kaybie Chongloi helps keep people informed, positively shape public discourse on important topics, and provide a platform for people and ideas that the public might not otherwise hear about.
The student body also feted Ngamhouhao Mate who brought fame and laurels to the Nation in general and the community in particular by captaining the SAFF U-16 Championship winning Indian team.
Since the player had already left for Shillong for preparation camp of the AFC U-17 Championship, his uncle received the award on his behalf.
The student body also launched a campaign called "Themjil Khohsah Ute" on the occasion to instill and promote the importance of education among the people and devote more towards children's education.
Study materials were also distributed to students under TSA's "Themjil Khohsah Ute" during the event.
As a part of the observance, TSA Sadar Hills also conducted a career counselling for displaced students where Dr Helun Touthang and Kaybie Chongloi attended as resource persons.
Highlighting the tireless contribution of TSA for the welfare of the student community and society since its inception in 1994, TSA Sadar Hills president Paominlun Lhouvum paid tributes to all the deceased founding members of the Thadou Students' Association and conveyed heartfelt gratitude to all wellwishers, intellectuals, like-minded individuals and various other student bodies and civil society organizations for the support and cooperation towards the TSA Sadar Hills.
