Imphal, September 17 2024: Thangmeiband AC MLA Kh Joykisan has thanked the Jain Society Imphal for distributing vegetarian food to the inmates of TAKDO relief camp set up at Khoyathong on account of Anant Chaturdashi (September 17) .

In a message, the MLA said that the Jain community across India celebrates Anant Chaturdashi on September 17.This day is also celebrated as "Vegetarian Day" by the entire Jain community.

Saying that Jain Society Imphal distributed vegetarian food to the displaced people taking refuge at the relief camp set up by TAKDO at Tombisana High School today, he thanked the Jain community for enriching the lives of 'our people' through their noble deeds.
