The Thadou Students' Association (TSA) has made an appeal for calm and peace in the wake of escalating violence in the state following the brutal murder of an innocent woman during the attack on Zairawn village, Jiribam district, on November 7, which was followed by the November 9 incident involving the killing of a woman at Saitol, an adjoining area of Churachandpur and Bishnupur districts.
"We condemn both the horrible violent incidents that took the lives of the two helpless, innocent women," TSA spokesperson Vicky Thadou said in a statement issued on Saturday The statement said that on Monday, 11 men were shot dead by personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in a contested firing incident in the Borobekra area of Jiribam district.

TSA also conveyed, "We demand the immediate identification and arrest of the perpetrators in the killings of Zosangkim and Sonia Devi.
