Thoubal, July 12 2025: Under the aegis of District Agriculture Office, Thoubal, 420 bags of urea were distributed to farmers at the office of Irabot Foundation Thoubal Branch today.

The urea distribution was organised by the Foundation.

The fertilizer bags were made available to the farmers at the subsidized rate set by the Government.

Irabot Foundation Thoubal Branch advisors Dr Kh Akoisana and Thokchom Raghumani were present at the event Dr Kh Akoisana extended gratitude to Thongam Jayprakash, DAO, Thoubal for ensuring that farmers received the urea bags in time to correspond with their agricultural activities.

He also educated the gathering about new farming techniques to produce more crops.

Meanwhile, N Shyamkeshor Singh, secretary, Irabot Foundation highlighted the threat of floods which can occur anytime due to poor drainage systems.

Urging the relevant department to take necessary steps to combat this issue, he added that the Foundation will continue to work for the welfare of the farmer community.
