Imphal, May 31 2025: The Ningombam Pheiraba Award for the year 2025 will be presented to environmentalist Dr Khangembam Shamungou in recognition of his outstanding contributions in the field of environmental protection.

The award given by Sahitya Thoupang Lup carries a cash prize of Rs 10,000, citation and a shawl, said a release issued by Sahitya Thoupang Lup.

The award distribution ceremony will be held on the occasion of World Environment Day on June 5, 2025 at Manipur Press Club, Imphal.

The ceremony will be graced by retired IFS officer Th Mohendra Pratap Singh and Travellers Forum Manipur chairman RK Budhimanta as the chief guest & president respectively.
