Kumbi College celebrates 45th foundation day

Bishnupur, September 27 2025: The 45th foundation day of Kumbi College was observed today at its auditorium jointly organised by the IQAC, NSS Unit and Alumni Association of the College.

The event was attended by Kh Lilachandra, National Youth Award winner 1998/99 and local educationist member of Kumbi College Governing Body; L Gopal, Principal, Kumbi College; L Ibomcha, Guardian Representative member of Kumbi College Governing Body and U Devanand, president, Kumbi College Employee Association and Head of the Mathematics Department as the presidium members.

During the event, floral tributes were offered on the portraits of Moirangthem Ahong, who dedicated/do-nated the land for the establishment of the College and other eminent deceased individuals who played a crucial role in the founding of Kumbi College.

A 2-minute silence was also observed in their honour.

Major highlights of the event include cultural programmes showcased by the students and prize distribution of the annual sports meet.
