AR extends humanitarian aid

Imphal, June 07 2025: In coordination with retired brigadier L Ibotombi Singh, a team of civic action personnel including three medical teams from 33 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 9 Sector AR carried out humanitarian assistance to the flood victims of Porompat Ayangpalli road over two days.

As per a release, AR personnel distributed drinking water bottles and dry rations including vegetables to 160 families, besides treatment of patients and distribution of essential medicines to 200 personnel including mosquito repellent ointments and bleaching powder in large numbers.

The medical team also visited bed-ridden patients in their homes and provided them with timely medical treatment.

Besides, another team comprising of three sub-teams carried out fogging in these areas on Friday night.

Under the direction of 9 Sector AR brigadier Ananyan Boral, the civic action team distributed 9000 litres of potable water to 60 families at Ayangpalli Mutum Leikai and another 10,000 litres of potable water to 70 households at Meri Leirak, Soibam Leikai.
