Meira Paibis rescue family of four

Yairipok Khoirom Mathak Leikai Meira Paibis were able to rescue a family of four today who were allegedly abducted by unknown miscreants.
The family is from Yairipok Kakmayai Khul under Nongpok Sekmai Police Station in Thoubal district The family members have been identified as Tongbram Ibomcha (46 yrs), his wife Tongbram Ongbi Mary (38 yrs) and their two daughters.
As per the information from the site, the family were allegedly abducted by unidentified miscreants when they went to their paddy field to carry out agricultural activities.
The news spread to neighbouring villages and the Meira Paibis of Khoirom Mathak Leikai found them near Khoirom Mathak Chingya Canal and were shifted to safety.
The reasons for the alleged abduction is not known yet.
Later the family were escorted to their residence by a team of security personnel of CDO Thoubal and Meira Paibis.
Meira Paibi leader Akoijam Chitreshwori while speaking in connection with the incident, urged all to refrain from carrying out such acts which may trigger tensions among the various communities.
She maintained that the people are going through a tough phase in the wake of the unabated violence which broke out in the State since May 3 last.
Therefore, she urged all concerned to refrain from carrying out any form of act which may further escalate the tense situation and lead to unwanted outcomes.
Expressing anguish on the ongoing violence which has been going on for more than two months, she appealed to all to collectively strive to bring back peace and normalcy in the State in the interest of all the communities residing in Manipur.
