Free health camp conducted

A one-day free health camp was successfully conducted at the Laphupat Tera Khunou Community Hall, Imphal West, on Saturday.
The camp was jointly organized by the Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM), All Clubs of Laphupat Tera, Khordak, Arong, and Nongmaikhong, in collaboration with Shija Academy of Health Sciences, Langol.
According to a release issued by Shija Hospitals & Research Institute, a total of 542 patients received free consultations from Shija Academy of Health Sciences specialists across a range of specialties, including Obstetrics & Gynaecology, General Medicine, General Surgery, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, Orthopaedics, ENT, Dermatology, and Dentistry.
Free medicines were also distributed to the patients, ensuring they received both immediate treatment and guidance for further care.
The collaborative effort demonstrated Shija Academy of Health Sciences' ongoing commitment to improving community health and reaching underserved populations in Manipur.
The success of the camp highlighted the importance of accessible healthcare services and the positive impact such initiatives have on public health.
