THSU, ZSOM to initiate agitations

Tamenglong, September 17 2024: The Tousem Headquarters Students' Union (THSU) has resolved to initiate various forms of agitation as the State Government has failed to address their demand for reallocation of the Sub-Divisional Office (SDO) from Tamenglong District Headquarters to Tousem Headquarters.

A press release issued by Rangeuding Newme, general secretary, THSU, has informed that THSU and Zeme Students' Organisation Manipur (ZSOM) submitted a joint memorandum to the Chief Minister of Manipur with a 30-day ultimatum to execute of reallocation of the SDO.

It stated that the State Government has failed to provide a positive response to the genuine demands of the people within the stipulated time.

Thus, the statement said that Tousem Headquarters Students' Union and Zeme Students' Organisation Manipur will launch various agitations and the State Government will be held fully responsible for any untoward incidents or consequences arising from these actions.
