Shyam apprises Ram Vilas Paswan

Langthabal AC MLA Karam Shyam has apprised Union CAF & PD Minister Ram Vilas Paswan of the current issues besieging the State.
Speaking to reporters, the lone Lok Janshakti Party MLA said that he discussed the current issues of State with the Union Minister in room number 39 of the Parliament in New Delhi on August 7 .
Shyam said that he also submitted a memorandum to the Minister mentioning detailed accounts of the recent happenings.
While discussing the ILPS demand, Shyam told Ram Vilas Paswan that constant influx of non-locals has posed serious threat to indigenous people as non-local population has crossed eight lakh mark in a State whose total population is around 25 lakh only.
He also requested the Union Minister to support the people's demand for ILPS when need for Centre's approval arises.
Ram Vilas Paswan assured Shyam to extend all possible support in bringing a solution to the pro-ILPS agitation.
Shyam further said that he also requested the Union Minister to omit the points, which are detrimental to the territorial integrity of Manipur, while developing the details of the peace agreement with NSCN (IM).
He also requested the Minister to take a concrete stand on the issue of territorial integrity of Manipur by his party.
Shyam also told the Minister that he would resign as an MLA if the Centre takes any decision which goes against the interest of the people of Manipur.
After listening the MLA's stand, Ram Vilas Paswan told Shyam that neither the Government nor his party would take any decision on this sensitive issue on their own.
Karam Shyam said that all the political parties of the State must collectively press the Centre not to take any decision which may create tension in the State.
Shyam further said that he also requested the Union Minister to increase the State quota of essential commodities as the State is currently facing flood woes.
