DCPU Tengnoupal extends sponsorship aid to 60 children under Mission Vatsalya

The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Tengnoupal, successfully conducted a two-day Sponsorship Distribution Programme on July 28 & 29, 2025 under the Mission Vatsalya scheme for the financial year 2023-24.The events were organised at the DC Conference Hall, Tengnoupal Headquarter, and at Machi Block, Khangshim village, reaffirming the district's commitment to the welfare of children in need of care and protection.
The program was graced by the Deputy Commissioner of Tengnoupal, along with the District Child Protection Officer (DCPO) and members of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) .
In total, 60 vulnerable children were identified and benefited from sponsorship support aimed at addressing their educational and essential living needs.
In his keynote address, the DC encouraged the children and their guardians, emphasizing that this initiative marks only the beginning of a larger mission to ensure the holistic well-being of every child in the district.
He reassured families of the administration's ongoing support and urged them to seek help without hesitation whenever challenges arise.
"Every child deserves a future filled with dignity, opportunity, and promise," he declared, reaffirming the administration's steadfast dedication to child welfare.
The DCPO in his remarks, urged parents and guardians to utilize the sponsorship funds solely for the benefit of the children, focusing on education, healthcare, and overall development.
He underscored that the DCPU would regularly monitor the proper use of the funds through coordinated home visits, field reports, and engagement with local authorities.
After the formal distribution, the DC personally interacted with the children.
He listened attentively to their experiences, educational aspirations, and daily challenges.
This sponsorship initiative is part of DCPU Tengnoupal's commitment under Mission Vatsalya to strengthen communitybased child protection systems and to extend meaningful, life-improving support to children who need it most.
