Private hospitals should adhere to Government decision: MSF

Imphal, May 27 2021: Manipuri Students Federation (MSF) welcomed the State Government's order of capping the charge on the treatment of COVID-19 patients at private hospitals and appealed to all the private hospitals to adhere to the Govt's order in the interest of the public.

The student body in a statement appealed to the masses to inform MSF through the helpline numbers-9402275850/8787604146 if any of the private hospitals is found violating the orders of the Government and charging the patients as per their convenience.

Further it sought the attention of the authorities concerned to take up measures to train the doctors to provide online treatment to COVID-19 patients either through phone or whatsapp to reduce the number of patients thronging the hospitals.

MSF also requested the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Manipur State Branch to provide telecounseling and telemedicine monitoring to isolated COVID-19 patients in Manipur as done in other states across the country.
