R-Day full dress rehearsal held across State

The District Administration Kakching conducted a full dress rehearsal today at the District Sports Association (DSA) Ground, Kakching as part of preparations for the 76 th Republic Day celebration on January 26.The parade was commanded by Ng Suresh Anthony, MPS, SDPO Sugnu, with eight contingents from the Manipur Rifles, Traffic Control Police, Integrated Child Development Services, JNV, Kha Football Academy, and Southern Manipur Band Party Academy participating in the event.

Also, four cultural troupes showcased their performances during the full dress rehearsal.

On January 26, Deputy Commissioner Rohit Anand, IAS, will unfurl the National flag and take the salute from the march past contingents at the DSA Ground.

CHURACHANDPUR

In Churachandpur, a full dress rehearsal for Republic Day Parade, 2025 was held today at Public Ground, Hiangtam Lamka, Churachandpur.

SP, Churachandpur Shaikh Mohd Zaib Zakir, unfurled the tricolour and took the salute from a total of 24 participating contingents which comprised of CRPF, 129 Bn CRPF, IRB & MR platoon, Civil Police (men and women), Assam Rifles Band Party, Raybum High School, NCC, Churachandpur College and JNV Tuinom.

Marching contingents from various institutions such as Rengkai Hr Sec Government School, Vimala Raina Government High School, JNV Tuinom also participated in the full rehearsal.

Today's rehearsal parade was commanded by Kunal Uttam Shrote, IPS (prob).

He will be the parade commander on Republic Day celebration.

Deputy Commissioner, Dharun Kumar S will be the chief guest at the January 26 Republic Day celebration.

He will be unfurling the National flag and take the salute from the march past contingents and addressed the public.

He will also inspect stalls set up by various departments and that will be followed by colourful cultural programmes and prize distribution.

Officials from District Administration, DLOs, and other dignitaries of the district also attended the event.

CHANDEL

A full dress rehearsal for the 76th Republic Day celebration was also held at Maha Union Higher Secondary School Playground, Chandel district today.

The 76th Republic Day celebration to be organised by District Administration Chandel on January 26 will feature contingents from Manipur Police, Manipur Rifles, VDF, ICDS, NCC, Jawahar Novodaya Vidyalaya and various schools of the district.

Various cultural programmes will also be held during the celebration.

On this day, Meeyamgi Numit (Peoples' Day" will also be held and around 30 to 40 stalls of various Government Departments will be opened and provide benefits to the people on various schemes and services of the Government, said the District Administration Chandel.
