Kabui Union, Bishnupur observes first foundation day

Bishnupur, October 19 2024: Kabui Union, Bishnupur observed its first foundation day celebration on October 18 at Oinam Kabui Khul.

The program was attended by Kammei Poudetlung Kabui, Chief, Oinam Kabui Khul; K Gangmumei Kabui, president, Kabui Customary Council; Thaimei Manisana Kabui, Khunbu, Chingphu Kabui Khul; L Lanbon Kabui, vice president, KUM; Golmei Jiten Kabui, chairman, Sana Kabui, vice president Kabui Women Organisation as presidium members, said a press note issued by KUM.

At the event, several Kabui village chiefs and representatives asserted that Kabui will live as Kabui and urged the Kabui community to preserve and promote their rich tradition.

Meanwhile, Kammei Gangmumei Kabui stated that it is the duty of all Kabuis to safeguard the invaluable culture, customs, costumes and language left behind by their Kabui ancestors.
