2nd Youth Gospel Olympics of INBCA concludes at Makuilongdi

The 2nd Youth Gospel Olympics of the Inpui Naga Baptist Churches Association (INBCA) concluded successfully at Makuilongdi III after 8 days of vibrant spiritual, social and sporting activities from January 9 to 17, 2026 .
The event was hosted by the Inpui Baptist Church.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation of youth and community members and was attended by several distinguished dignitaries, speakers and guests from Manipur, Nagaland and other parts of the country.
Throughout the event, the youth were inspired by eminent speakers including Rev Dr Timothy Nair, Vice-President, People's Baptist Ministries India and Beyond; Pr Jayan Mathew, Assistant Pastor of People's Baptist Church, Trivandrum, Kerala; Rev Dr Joseph Kennedy, Executive Secretary, PNBA; Rev Jackson Siipunii, Youth and Education Secretary of MBC; and Rev A L Khumba, Executive Secretary, INBCA.

Their messages called the younger generations to lead lives rooted in faith, discipline, and service.
Special musical presentations by Fiona Gonmei of CATCH Ministry and Thanchuilu Gangmei further enriched the programme, inspiring the congregation with worship songs.
Special seminar sessions were also organised on contemporary social issues.
Alongside the sports meet, the annual Inpui Karing Ngei celebration was held to pass on cultural values and wisdom of the forefathers to the present generation.
The semi-final match on January 16, 2026, was ceremonially kicked off by Losii Dikho, MLA, 48-Mao Assembly Constituency, as the chief guest, Adahrii Maheo, MCS, Chief Executive Officer, ADC Senapati, attended as the guest of honour, while the president of the United Naga Council (UNC) graced the occasion as the special guest.
The organising committee placed special appreciation to MLA Losii Dikho for his generous support and significant contribution towards making the 2nd Youth Gospel Olympics a grand success.
On the same day, the organising committee successfully conducted the 1st edition of the "Inpui Mountain Marathon" at Makuilongdi Part III under the theme "A Run for Peace".
The committee resolved to organise the marathon annually as a district-level event, with a long term vision of elevating it to state, national and international levels.
The closing ceremony was graced by Anson Thomas as the chief guest and Dr Robin Raomai Heni, President, Compassion Children Ministries and Peace Ambassador, United Nations Peace Ambassadors Foundation, as the guest of honour, marking a meaningful conclusion to the event.
The Core Committee of the 2nd Youth Gospel Olympics and the Inpui Naga Baptist Churches Association (INBCA) expressed their heartfelt gratitude to God for his guidance and successful completion of the programme.
The committee also sincerely thanked the host church, participating youth fellowships, volunteers, donors and well-wishers for their support, which made the event memorable, impactful and successful.
