Erwin tops NEET-UG

Thoubal, June 14 2025: Erwin Khundrakpam, a resident of Khangabok Maisnam Leikai, has emerged as the State topper in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2025 .

Son of Gopimohon Khundrakpam and Promila Devi, Erwin scored an impressive 99.82 percentile and secured an All India Rank (AIR) of 3706 .

Speaking to the media at his residence, Erwin expressed his determination to excel in his medical career, stating that he will work hard and become a successful doctor to serve the people.

He credited his achievement to the guidance of his teachers, the encouragement of his parents, and the motivation from his friends.

Erwin said that he faced challenges in previous NEET-UG attempts due to the crisis in Manipur, but this year, he was able to prepare without major issues, which contributed to his success.

Erwin, who took the NEET exam in Delhi due to the situation in Manipur, hopes the Government finds a solution to the crisis, which causes significant hardship for people, especially students.

Saying that he would now focus on becoming a successful doctor since he had cleared the entrance examination, he expressed hope that he could serve the people as a doctor.

Erwin studied at Sangai-yumpham Higher Secondary School until Class X, where his father is a teacher, and later completed his Class XII from Herbert School, Imphal.
