LKK organises felicitation / career guidance programme

Chandel, June 14 2024: The Lamkang Kurchuknao Kunpun (LKK) held a 'Felicitation cum Career Guidance' programme at Lamrinkhuw Baptist Church, Chandel district on June 8, 2024.During the event, students who have passed the Class X and Class XII Board Exams were feted along with Angshing Leivon of Challong for his completion of Bachelor of Architecture degree, said a press release by Jack Jangvei, Information & Publicity Secretary, LKK.

It may be noted that Lamkang people who excelled in the field of sports were also felicitated.

Four Lamkang players of Liwachangning Youth Cultural Club (LYCC) who were a part of the first runners up team in the recently concluded 16th Manipur State League conducted by AMFA namely Armstrong Dilbung, Alex Kangten, Bungring Tholung and Shelstone Sankhil including Diana Dilbung who has been elected as Mentor/Coach (Volleyball) under Khelo India Scheme were feted among others.

The act of blessing was administered by Rev R Khullar, President of Lamkang Christian Forum (LCF).

Notably, Shankerjit Singh Loitongbam, MPS, Additional SP (Law and Order) Chandel; Rev Father Albert Leivon Lamkang, Director of Manipur Catholic Youth Organisation (MCYO) and Somichan Khullar, MBBS attended as the resource persons of the career guidance programme.

The event witnessed participation of parents/guardians apart from the students, said the release.

Lamkang Kurchuknao Kunpun also expressed gratitude to the host village Lamrinkhuw and all the donors who made the event a success.
