TAKL to inspect developmental works in Southern Tangkhul region

Imphal, April 29 2025: The Students' Union of the Southern Tangkhul (TAKL) has notified all concerned departments and the general public that starting from May 5, 2025, a series of inspections will be carried out across all ongoing and completed developmental works in the Southern Tangkhul region.

The inspection will cover key sectors including Education, Public Works Department (PWD), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Health, Telecom and others, said TAKL in a release.

The TAKL has stated that the initiative is being undertaken to ensure transparency, accountability, and the delivery of quality work in all development projects aimed at uplifting the region.

Requesting all the concerned departments to execute and maintain their works with diligence and quality standards, the TAKL has said that failure to do so, will compel the Student Union to take necessary action in the interest of public welfare.

The Student Union also appeals for cooperation from all stakeholders in this endeavor to uphold integrity and foster meaningful development in the Southern Tangkhul region.
