Jojo Robertson leads tree plantation drive at Ashang Khullen

Kamjong, July 20 2026: Undeterred by continuous rainfall, environmental activist Jojo Robertson carried forward his environmental awareness campaign by Organising a tree plantation drive at Ashang Khullen village in Kamjong district on Monday.

Braving the inclement weather, villagers, led by Ashang Khullen headman Chuimatai Ragui, Pastor Leishing Shanglai, church leaders and local residents, actively participated in the drive, during which around 400 saplings were planted in and around the village.

Speaking on the occasion, Jojo Robertson stressed the importance of protecting the environment in the face of growing climate challenges.

He said that conserving forests and planting more trees are among the most effective measures to address the adverse impacts of climate change and the changing rainfall patterns being experienced across the world.

He also expressed gratitude to the villagers for their wholehearted cooperation and support in making the plantation drive a success.
