Sardar@150 Unity March held at Nambol and Tengnoupal

along with Deputy Commissioner, Bishnupur, Pooja Elangbam, today flagged off the Sardar@150 Unity March for Nambol Block from the Imphal Peace Museum, Maibam Lotpa Ching, Nambol.
The Unity March was organised by the District Administration, Bishnupur, under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, with support from My Bharat, Bishnupur, and the NSS Cell, Manipur.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, My Bharat volunteers, and members of the Bharat Scouts & Guides.
Speaking as the chief guest, MP Sanajaoba highlighted that Unity Marches are being organised across the country to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, who played a pivotal role in uniting the nation.
He emphasized the vital role of youth in shaping the future of the country and urged them to lead disciplined, value-based lives.
To bring about positive change in society, our youth must not only be educated but also uphold the ideals of unity and nationalism inspired by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, he added.
The MP further stated that as India continues its journey towards becoming an Atmanirbhar Bharat, similar efforts should be made to build an Atmanirbhar Manipur.
On the occasion, he also administered the Atmanirbhar Bharat Pledge to the participants.
The event was also attended by State Director, Mera Yuva Bharat Manipur L Marjit Singh, and other district-level officers and officials.
Meanwhile, the District Administration of Tengnoupal also organized a Padyatra today to commemorate 150 years of Vande Mataram.
The event, held at Tengnoupal Government High School was graced by Deputy Commissioner of Tengnoupal, Saurabh Yadav, as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the significance of the occasion, noting that the year marks 150 years since Vande Mataram was written by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in 1875 and first sung by Rabindranath Tagore.
He also pointed out that the event coincides with the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Speaking on the theme of unity and development, Saurabh Yadav emphasized that a nation's progress is rooted in its unity.
"Freedom, unity, and development are interlinked.
Only when a land is free and united can it march toward the path of progress," he said.
As part of the programme, students from Chehlep Primary School, Enlighten English School & Kindergarten, and Tengnoupal Govt High School presented a series of cultural performances.
Over 100 students later participated in the Sardar@150 Unity March from Tengnoupal High School to the DC office complex.
The programme was attended by ADC Moreh, SDOs, DFO, SDPO, AR, DLOs of the district and students.
